Your Guide to Fun Wildwood NJ Winter Activities

Wildwood beach with information sign and seagull.

Wildwood is known for fun times under the Jersey Shore sun. During the summer, visitors can lay out in the sand, swim in the cool waters, and have fun at Morey’s Piers. Many believe Wildwood becomes a ghost town when once chilly winter weather approaches. It may be cold outside, and snow is beginning to fall, but there’s still fun on the Jersey Shore! Get ready to bundle up and enjoy these Wildwood NJ winter activities.

A Chilly Beach Day

Five miles of sandy beaches stretch out along Wildwood, New Jersey! Winter isn’t the most fantastic time to throw on your swimsuit, but the season still makes for a terrific day out. The typical crowds are gone, giving you a more serene visit to beaches like Wildwood Crest Beach.

The North Wildwood Sea Wall also hosts a great way to explore the Wildwood beach areas. The paved trail stretches out 1 mile along the shore with plenty of views of the sea, sand, and rock formations. The trail concludes with a small pavilion, perfect for taking in the ocean views, and it’s the best place in Wildwood for sunrise year-round!

The Holidays at Holly Beach Park

The Jersey Shore becomes a winter wonderland as the holiday season rolls around. One way to celebrate the holiday cheer is a trip to Holly Beach Park! Throughout December, visitors can feast their eyes on a dazzling light show once the sun goes down.

A Day in Cape May

Cape May is 12 miles from Wildwood and is home to beautiful sights of ornate Victorian architecture and nature. Our neighboring town’s unique charm comes to life when the snow begins to fall! It was just named one of the best towns in America to visit during the holiday season and feels like a Hallmark movie come to life – of which one was recently filmed there, “Christmas at the Golden Dragon.”

To fully dive into Cape May’s historical beauty, trolley tours are available to book throughout the winter, and the Emlen Physick Estate is also open to explore!

Cape May Point State Park is also open throughout the season and makes for a terrific day exploring nature and the historic Cape May Lighthouse.
