Beaches in the Wildwoods
Wildwood is also known for its sandy beaches. Our award-winning Five Mile Beach is the widest that you can find on the Jersey Cape. The Wildwoods’ shoreline stretches across North Wildwood, Wildwood, and Wildwood Crest. That’s a total of five miles of sparkling blue ocean water and sandy shores, all FREE to the public. North Wildwood
North Wildwood is at the northern end of the Wildwood’s area. It’s is known for being the home of the historic Hereford Inlet Lighthouse. The lighthouse was built in 1874 and sits in the topmost area of the famous Five Mile Beach. Go for a tour and see the massive 50-foot tower in person.
Visit the Ocean Oasis Waterpark afterward. Relax in your private cabana or in the lazy river. Kids can never get enough of the exciting collection of waterslides and games. Once you’re ready for a bite to eat, Stubborn Brothers Beach Bar and Grille is the perfect place to fill your belly. Try the crab cake sandwich or a wrap to the sound of live music.
Wildwood
Wildwood is the central area of the Jersey Cape. It hosts state-of-the-art concerts and shows, conferences, events, and more. Plan an exciting day of beach activities in Wildwood Crest. Start by booking a dolphin tour to see the friendly Jersey shore dolphins up close. Rent a couple of jet skis and race through the surprisingly calm coastal waters. Are you up for a little more thrill? Go parasailing or paragliding with local outfitter, Atlantic Parasail. Then dry off while relaxing under the sunny skies. Afterward, go for a round of mini-golf at Harbor Light Golf. For almost three decades, they’ve been giving visitors a unique hole-in-one experience in the Wildwoods.
