5 Activities for Summer Fun in Wildwood, NJ

Summer in Wildwood

Summer fun is what we do best here in Wildwood, NJ! Families from all over the country come to the Wildwoods area for days of fun in the sun. From our famous beaches and boardwalk to our amusement parks and water parks, here are five activities for summer fun in Wildwood, NJ.

Spend a day at the beach

Of course, what summer fun in Wildwood would be complete without a day at the beach? The beaches of Wildwoods, named “New Jersey’s Best Beaches,” stretch for five miles, from North Wildwood, Wildwood, and Wildwood Crest Beach. Visitors enjoy the FREE access to Wildwood Crest Beach and all its available activities such as surfing, swimming, jet skiing, sailing, and more. In the summer, Memorial Day through Labor Day, the beaches are guarded by lifeguards for your safety.

Wildwood Crest Boardwalk

You can’t visit the beach without taking a walk along the Wildwood Crest Boardwalk. Famous for being one of the liveliest boardwalks along the East Coast, the Boardwalk features multiple activities, shops, arcades, and restaurants for endless summer fun. Families love the 100+ rides and roller coasters at Morey’s Piers & Ocean Oasis Beachfront Waterparks.

Take a bike ride

Biking along the Jersey Shore is a popular activity the entire family can enjoy. The Wildwoods features some of the best bikeable paths along the shore. Ride the bike path that runs the entire length of the five-mile island from the Cape May National Wildlife Refuge in Wildwood Crest, up to the North Wildwood Sea Wall, passing through the Boardwalk. This gentle path is a great way to easily explore all of Wildwood with many fun stops along the way.

Or for a simple easy ride, hop on the Wildwood Crest Bike Path. It is a one-mile path that runs along the beach from East Cresse Avenue to East Rambler Road.

Ride the rides at Morey’s Pier

One of the best ways to have summer fun in Wildwood is to ride the rides at Morey’s Pier. The quintessential seaside amusement and water park provides visitors and their families with a full day’s worth of entertainment.

Located on the Wildwood’s Boardwalk, Morey’s features amusement park rides at three separate piers – Surfside Amusement Pier, Mariner’s Amusement Pier, and the Adventure Amusement Pier.

Cool off at a water park

Cool off this summer at one of the water parks in Wildwood Crest, NJ. Beyond the games and rides at the Wildwood Boardwalk, Morey’s also offers two beachfront water parks, the Ocean Oasis Water Park and the Raging Waters Water Park.

Or bring the entire family to the Splash Zone Water Park. The water park features the 40-foot continuous wave ride called the Flow Rider, a lazy river, water slides, and a multi-level jungle gym at Hurricane Island.
