Always a great stay at the Ala Kai. We stay here every year. The staff, JoAnn, Lukas, and Jay are very friendly and welcoming. They will do anything to make your stay enjoyable. Also for an enjoyable stay, they offer a free happy hour on Wednesdays for guests that other hotels/motels in the area do not offer. Maid service is offered daily, and the room is spot less after it is cleaned. The maid also leaves little towel sculptures on the beds such as swans, and flowers. The heated pool is also spot less because it is cleaned daily. The Ala Kai is a meticulous maintained doo wop motel, it seems that every year they are doing something to improve the place while still keeping the doo wop charm. The motel is located on the beach block, so it is a short walk to the beach. And, it is located in the Crest, which is the more quiet areas in the Wildwoods. It is about a five minute drive or a fifteen minute walk to the boardwalk.

After being priced out of our regular spot, we gave the Ala Kai a try. It is an absolute gem. There are two buildings directly across from one another so it offers a few different types of rooms, two pools, a games area that the kids love and plenty of outdoor seating areas to relax and enjoy. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. While not located directly on the beach, the Ala Kai is only steps away. We can’t wait to go back again next year.

I highly recommend the Ala Kai Motel. The room was clean and the motel's proximity to the beach is a major benefit.

Good value for the price. We visited for a couple nights. The price was good. The 2 rooms we rented had a kitchenette, with a full size fridge, gas stove , microwave, and dishes available. That came handy, as the restaurants locally are overpriced. It does have a window air conditioner, but no heat, which could be a problem at the end of the season. Fortunately for us, it was not that cold. It is walking distance to the beach.

We stay at the Ala Kai North (the former Blue Marlin) and it’s a great little motel. The management staff is so very welcoming and friendly. Being beach block is great if you have little ones, as you don’t have to cross any streets. Pool is wonderful. Two gas grills are there for your use as well. The only thing missing is an ice machine. This is a definite place to stay!!

We loved our stay here! The room was nice and clean. The beds were comfortable. The kitchenette had so many items in it, we were able to make breakfast in the room before heading out for the day.
